Prior before the time-skip we learn that the Survey Corp was planning on feeding Zeke to historia and having Historia inherit the beast titan. First off we have to remember what caused Eren to act on his own during the Marley arc. The short answer his No, more so Eren’s goals expanded to a wider range.

Also when he kissed Historia’s hand during the ceremony he was able to see all the future events which made him depressedĭid Eren Change his goals in the final Arc/Season?:

After learning how badly Eldians are treated over there Eren shifted his goals from killing titans, to killing the people on the other side so that Pardise island would be free. Later on After the battle, Eren would learn in the basement that humanity was still alive and that his dad came from the other side of the ocean. Later on he would learn from commander Shadis that his Mother Carla loved him so much and felt he didn’t need to be anything super special, he was special because he was born into the world. When he is kidnapped by Kenny he ends up learning that his father was responsible for the death of Historia’s family this caused him to feel guilty for the sins that his father did, to the point where out of guilt and sadness he told Historia to kill him, because he felt as he didn’t deserve to be alive for something his father caused. In Season 3 is when things really changed with Eren. The first is when Hane’s sacrifices his life for Eren and Mikasa, Eren as we can see does a mixture of both laughing/crying (as he does when Sasha dies), and the second is in this life and death moment he tells Mikasa ( I’ll wrap this scarf around you as many times as you want”) we’ve never saw Eren show a hint of “romantic” feelings towards Mikasa before however he did in this moment because it was a life and death moment! Also to add during this season we get two crucial moment’s at Eren’s feelings. This season also introduced/hinted at the power of the founder when Eren punched the hand of the female smiling titan (Dina). Especially with the introductions of Ymir (not the founder) and The Beast titan Zeke who was able to talk. This season was the beginning of learning that there might also be something more going on than just titans. Later on in Season 2 Eren learned that Reiner and Bertold were actually traitors and as he would learn to control his titan power even more. Also loosing his mother did traumatize him more to continue on with his goal of revenge And the second is he truly did share the mutual feelings that Mikasa has for him, however due to the environment/world that they lived in that side of Eren was something he could never open up about. The first being to be able to reach the sea with Armin, because Armin inspired him with the books that they read. However one thing to also point out is that Eren also had other goals of his own. When Eren first turned into a titan he was shocked because he had turned into the very thing that he hated, however he realized that, that power was necessary and his perspective first started to change when he got a taste of his first betrayal by Annie, who could also turn into a titan) From Eren’s Perspective at the time anyone who wouldn’t fight back were being treated/acting like cattle. Hence why he hated when Armin wouldn’t fight back against the bullies, and when he told Mikasa to fight against her parent’s killers. Eren always felt like humanity (as he knew it at the time form his perspective) were treated like cattle.
